🚀 Getting started

Set up in five steps

Vidz Valley puts you in complete control. You approve the channels; your child only ever sees what you allow.

1

Download and create your account

Get Vidz Valley from the App Store or Google Play. Open it and tap Register to create your parent account with your email and a password. Your 7-day free trial starts automatically — no payment needed to begin.

2

Set up your Parent PIN

Tap the Parents tab at the bottom and create a 4-digit PIN. This PIN protects your parent settings from your child, and you’ll enter it each time you switch into Parents Mode — so keep it somewhere safe.

3

Browse the library and approve channels

In Parents Mode, tap Library. Browse our vetted YouTube channels by category and language. When you find one you trust, open it and tap Approve — its videos then appear in your child’s feed.

4

Fine-tune individual videos (optional)

Inside any approved channel you can approve or remove specific videos, so your child sees only the exact ones you’re happy with.

5

Hand the device to your child

Tap Watch Mode at the top right. Your child sees a clean, simple feed of only the content you approved. There’s no way to open YouTube itself, browse the web, or reach anything outside what you allowed.

✨ What’s inside

Features that keep you in control

Every feature is built around one idea: parents decide, children watch safely.

🏠

Watch Mode feed

Your child’s main screen shows a curated feed from the channels you approved. New videos appear automatically as those channels upload.

Shorts, on your terms

A dedicated screen for short videos. You choose how it works with two mutually-exclusive settings: Approved-Channels Shorts (only channels you approved) or Global Shorts (any channel in the Vidz Valley library).

📚

Channel library

Browse our growing library of vetted channels. Filter by category and language to find the right fit for your child’s age and interests.

Approved content

See and manage everything you’ve approved. Remove a channel or an individual video at any time, and it disappears from your child’s feed immediately.

Screen-time schedules

Set the hours your child may watch. Outside those times the app shows a friendly lock screen, and you can set different schedules for different days.

📊

Activity tracking

See what your child watched, for how long, and when. Daily and weekly summaries help you stay informed about their viewing habits.

🔐

Parent PIN protection

The library, settings, and activity screens all sit behind your 4-digit PIN, so your child can’t change their own restrictions.

🔔

Content requests

Can’t find a channel in the library? From Parents Mode you can request new channels or videos, and our team reviews every request.

❓ Answers

Frequently asked questions

Grouped by topic. Tap a question to expand it.

Account & PIN
How do I reset my password?

On the login screen, tap Forgot Password and enter your email address. We’ll send you a temporary password. Log in with that temporary password, and the app will then ask you to create a new permanent one.

If the email doesn’t arrive within a few minutes, check your spam folder. Still stuck? Email support@vidzvalley.com.

I forgot my Parent PIN. How do I reset it?

On the PIN entry screen, tap Forgot PIN? Reset with Password. You’ll be asked for your account password (the one you use to log in). Once it’s verified, you can set a new 4-digit PIN.

How do I delete my account?

In Parents Mode, go to Settings and scroll to the bottom to the Delete Account option. You’ll confirm with your password. Deleting your account permanently removes all your data — approved channels, watch history, and settings — and this can’t be undone.

Can I use Vidz Valley on more than one device?

Yes — you can use Vidz Valley on two devices with the same account. Just log in with the same email and password on the second device, and your approved channels and settings sync automatically. Logging in on a third device signs you out of the first.

Trial & subscription
How does the free trial work?

Every new account gets a 7-day free trial with full access to all features, and no payment is required to start. When the trial ends you can subscribe to continue. If you don’t, video playback stops — but your account and everything you approved are saved.

What subscription plans are available?

Two plans: Monthly at $2.99 and Yearly at $29.99 (saving over 15% versus monthly). Both give full access to every feature. Prices are in US dollars; your app store may show the equivalent in your local currency at checkout.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are managed by the App Store or Google Play, not inside Vidz Valley.

iPhone/iPad: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Vidz Valley → Cancel.

Android: open the Google Play app → your profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Vidz Valley → Cancel.

I switched phones. How do I restore my subscription?

Log in to Vidz Valley with the same account you used before, then go to Parents Mode → Settings → Restore Purchase. Make sure you’re signed into the same Apple ID or Google account that bought the subscription.

Using the app
How do I approve a channel?

Enter Parents Mode (tap Parents and enter your PIN), then tap Library. Find a channel, open it to see its details, and tap Approve. Its videos appear in your child’s feed within a few seconds.

How do I remove an approved channel?

In Parents Mode, tap Approved, open the channel you want to remove, and tap Remove. The channel and its videos leave your child’s feed immediately.

Can my child request a channel or video?

No. Only a parent can request new content, and only from Parents Mode. Children can’t type requests, search the web, or add anything themselves — they only see what you’ve approved.

A channel I want isn’t in the library. What can I do?

Our library grows every day. In Parents Mode, tap Request New Channel or Video and send us the channel name, a YouTube link, or a video title. We review every request and add suitable channels as quickly as we can.

How do I set screen-time limits?

In Parents Mode, tap Settings → Screen Time, turn on the schedule, and add time slots for each day — for example, 4pm–6pm on weekdays. Outside those hours the app shows a friendly lock screen and your child can’t play videos.

My child’s device shows the wrong time. Will screen time still work?

Screen-time uses the device’s own clock, so make sure the time is correct. Turn on automatic time under Settings → General → Date & Time (iPhone) or Settings → General management → Date & time (Android), and enable Set automatically.

Videos aren’t loading. What should I do?

Vidz Valley streams videos through YouTube’s official player. First, check your internet connection. Then fully close the app and reopen it. If it continues, it may be a temporary YouTube issue — try again in a few minutes. Still stuck? Email support@vidzvalley.com.

Does Vidz Valley work without internet?

No. An internet connection is needed to stream videos, load your approved channel list, and sync settings across your devices.

Is Vidz Valley on both iPhone and Android?

Yes — on iOS (iPhone and iPad) via the App Store, and on Android phones and tablets via Google Play. Your account works across both; just log in with the same email and password.

Safety, ads & privacy
Does Vidz Valley show ads?

We don’t show any ads of our own, and we use no advertising or tracking networks. Videos play through YouTube’s official player, which may occasionally show YouTube’s own ads — those are served by YouTube and aren’t something we control.

Is my data safe? Do you collect data from children?

We collect only the minimum needed to run the app — your email address, your approved-channel list, and watch history. We collect no personal data from children (they never register, type, or search the web), and we never sell data to anyone. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.
